We continue to be amazed at how quickly each year passes. Throughout 2006 we have had the privilege of seeing so many of you again. It is like good friends or family coming back for a visit, and we so enjoy visiting with each of you, catching up on what is going on in your life. For those we haven't seen in a while, we miss you and welcome your return.

We feel so fortunate to have seen so many wonderful couples married at Rachel's this year. The Elopement Package is very popular. Joe and I love being part of every marriage ceremony performed at Rachel's. Many couples return again and again, and some even send E-mail messages containing photos of their new home, or their  children as they begin to expand their families.  Thank you for making us feel like family and staying in touch with us.Another aspect of the business that has been extremely rewarding this year has been our Active Duty Military Discount. We are always surprised by the number of men and women from various branches of the military who extend their thanks for our support.  They are the ones who should be thanked! We open our hearts to many who share their deployment experiences,  and of those who have been to Iraq, each boasts of the great job our troops are doing there.
 
We continue to offer the two Romance Specials, and we are in the midst of incorporating yet another Romantic Getaway that will include our Massage Therapist. We have converted The old Cherub Room into a Massage area which works out well for our guest. They can go to and from the the Massage area in their robes and never worry about having to leave the house, or a need to make accommodations for the Massage table in their Suites. They can also go from the Massage area right out to the out door hot tub.

 

The Cottage adjacent to Rachel's B&B has proven to be ideal for Scrap Book parties, family getaways... and even for our business travelers who come here to attend training sessions at a local software company. It has three bedrooms, bath, fully furnished kitchen and laundry facilities. So it is perfect for budget-conscious groups. Some of our Scrap booking guests are even reserving their next getaway prior to their check-out. Remember when you start your Christmas shopping,  that Rachel's offers Gift Certificates. They are valid for a one year time period, and can be purchased in any denomination,  or for the cost of a designated Suite, or for one of our special Packages. We will personalize your Gift Certificate and mail it to you..........or to the recipient, which ever is most convenient for you.

And while we're on the subject of great gifts......... The holiday season will be here and gone before we know it. As winter settles into January, wouldn't it be great for your Christmas Gift recipient to know they already have a suite reserved at Rachel's for Valentine's Day because of your thoughtfulness?  Give them something that lasts beyond the 2006 holiday season!
